The iaret snake (also known as the Uraeus snake) plays an important role in Egyptian mythology as a symbol of protection, able to scare away the Pharaoh’s enemies with its breath of fire. Our snake won’t scare off any enemies, but its beauty and grace have certainly inspired us – and it’s the perfect motif for a kilim.
